Can you believe it's September already? We're now in the last third of 2011 — that's simply unreal. And seeing as we're quickly pulling away from summer, the blockbusters are out and the Oscar bait is moving in, with Moneyball leading the drive. Speaking of the Brad Pitt vehicle, this month's book adaptations are pretty awesome in regards to eye candy — Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, and Pierce Brosnan, for starters. As for you curve-loving gents, you might be pleased to hear Christina Hendricks is in not one but two films this month. But hey, it's the story that counts, right? Video after the jump!

In theaters September 16

I Don't Know How She Does It

Based on the book by Allison Pearson

Moneyball
The true story of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who developed an unorthodox, analytic method of assembling and developing a competitive baseball team on a shoestring budget.

A Bird of the Air
A man looking for his past (Hurst) discovers a stray parrot in his trailer and becomes obsessed with finding its owner. A woman who lives in the moment (Nichols) decides to help him in his quest.
Starring Rachel Nichols, Jackson Hurst, and Anjanette Comer
Based on the novel The Loop by Joe Coomer
In limited release September 23

What's Your Number?
A woman looks back on the past 20 men in her life and wonders if one of them was The One.

You are definitely right - that one is actually an original screenplay, it seems. Would have been one hell of a memoir, though. :)
