Booklicious: Bookcase Wednesday

OK, so the Bookinist is kind of hideous. That much is obvious. But you have to admit, it's a pretty impressive design. Nils Holger Moorman kitted out this chair-bookcase with a reading light, wheels, space for 80 paperbacks, a cupholder and even a secret compartment. Here's Moorman's own take on his creation:

Bookinist is a movable chair designed especially for reading. It is based on the principle of a pushcart and can be rolled to a favourite spot.

The books are stored ready for use in the arms of the chair. A reading lamp, hidden compartments for writing utensils, a cup stand – Bookinist invites you to read and think at your leisure.

I do love the hidden compartment, though. Even better is that it comes stocked with a magnifying glass, a notebook, pencils, a pencil sharpener and bookmarks. Brilliant.

Hahaha! Hilarious. I do kinda like it, even though it's a toddler-mama's nightmare.
