LOL! This cracks me up. Although I like print books and stock my shelves with such relics as thesauruses, dictionaries, and outdated encyclopedias, I am pleased to use Wikipedia, which is just as accurate as the venerated encyclopedias of yesteryear. Oy. This is such a funny pic. I don't think I'll be repurposing any of my books into brooms just yet. ;)

I'm not such a fan of Wikipedia, myself. It seems like whenever I check a topic I know even a modicum about, mistakes are running amok. When you open up a forum to everyone, you're letting in the bad with the good. Tom Cruise thinks he's an expert on psychiatry, for instance, yet we all know his knowledge of the subject runs about as deep as a puddle. Yet he's perfectly free to edit any Wikipedia page he wants, should he decide to share his valuable insights. And there's no guarantee his edits will be vetted, let alone noticed - at least for a while. So instead, I think I'll trust a team of experienced writers, editors, and fact checkers over Mr. Average Joe. Or Cruise. :)
